Charmaine was born in Sydney on 27th Sept at age 11yrs she made
her first appearance on TV at channel 7 in Sydney.She also appeared on many special concerts and stage shows in around Sydney,Newcastle
and Goulburn as part of the Follies Revue and The National Variety Company.In 1966 Charmaine moved to the Country town of
Forbes N.S.W. and began a career in Country Music which by this time she was travelling the talent quest circuit notching
up a hoard of awards to her credit.with a smooth vocal quality and lay back easy listening style her awards covered many different
catorogies ranging from vocal,yodelling gospel to songwriting.The most memorable being four times semi-finalist and two-times
major award winner at the Parkes Australian Talent Seekers and including Best Country Act at Cowra this allowed her to persue
the recording of the single Blue Misty Mountains followed by an album Moonlight and Clover then Home Is Where The Heart Is.The
single Cattle Camp Lady was released late Feb 2000 and was a finalist in the Stan Coster Australian
Memorial Bush Ballad Awards 2001. A brand new album titled "Another Day In Paradise" was released 3rd October 2003 and
is currently gaining wide attention around Australia this album gained two finalists births at the Australian Country
Recording Artists Awards being Best Female Country Album and Best Australian Bush Ballad Album.Charmaine was inducted onto
the Wall Of Honour 2004 for her input into Country Music. Charmaine is a regular performer at many festivals throughout
Australia including Boondooma Homestead Heritage Festival and special concert appearances, she performed
at the Gold Guitar Awards at Gore NZ as part of the Australian Showcase 1991-1992.Opened the Australian Polocross Championships
in Australia 1992 ,she was inducted into the Mitt's In The Mud at Tamworth 1998(hand prints can be found at Oxley Bowls Club),2004 Inducted
into the Australian Country Music Roll of Honour for her dedication to Country Music. Performed for a number of years
on Buttercup Open House at Tamworth.Director of Carols By Candlelight at Forbes from 1996-2003 performed at the
Inaugural Australian Bush Balladeers Showcase at Blacktown 2000,appeared in a video clip with Norma O'Hara Murphy 2000, Sprit
Of Tamworth Showcases Sydney and to top it off recieved the Premiers Award for her music back in 1989.
Charmaine is currently a radio presenter at 97.9Valley FM at Forbes and has been for a number of
years she also has been heard on Toyota Festival Radio 101.5fm and 2YOUFM both out of Tamworth during
the annual country music festivals as guest presenter .With all that in mind this entertainer is multi talented. as quoted
